We accomplish this by calculating and offsetting our CO2 emissions through CDM Gold-certified projects. In addition, we continuously define specific reduction targets to limit our emissions related to travel, food and energy usage.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wtca.lfca.earth\/e\/gp-bullhound\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.cloudinary.com\/dhpk1grmy\/image\/upload\/v1599579094\/Act%20Now%20Badge\/v2\/big-colorful.svg\" style=\"max-width:350px;width:100%;\" alt=\"By Leaders for Climate Action\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<p><br>When selecting projects to offset our emissions, we choose to support a broad range of initiatives that benefit the greatest number of people and the environment. This year, we are proud to support several projects offering clean drinking water to populations in Laos and Uganda, and renewable energy in the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Climate Protection Project: Ceramic purifiers for clean drinking water in Laos \u2013 myclimate\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2TEL0emJuuA?start=6&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Through ceramic water filters, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myclimate.org\/information\/carbon-offset-projects\/detail-carbon-offset-projects\/laos-water-7233\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.myclimate.org\/information\/carbon-offset-projects\/detail-carbon-offset-projects\/laos-water-7233\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TerraClear provides clean drinking water<\/a> to Laos&#8217; rural populace at a lower cost. This eliminates emissions associated with heating water, local forest degradation, and health hazards associated with waterboard infections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Climate Protection Project: Access to clean drinking water in Uganda \u2013 myclimate\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Odt-EEtP7MQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Through ultraviolet (UV) filtration, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myclimate.org\/information\/carbon-offset-projects\/detail-carbon-offset-projects\/uganda-water-7192\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.myclimate.org\/information\/carbon-offset-projects\/detail-carbon-offset-projects\/uganda-water-7192\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clean Drink Water<\/a> initiative in Uganda provides clean drinking water to low-income households, small and medium companies, and schools. This helps to prevent deforestation and land degradation, improves health, and gives women and children more time that otherwise would have been spent looking for firewood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"The largest solar project in the Caribbean - Monte Plata, Dominican Republic\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SX1H7T1a7zA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.myclimate.org\/information\/carbon-offset-projects\/detail-carbon-offset-projects\/dominican-republic-solar-7171\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.myclimate.org\/information\/carbon-offset-projects\/detail-carbon-offset-projects\/dominican-republic-solar-7171\/\" target=\"_blank\">Solar Energy project<\/a> in the Dominican Republic provides renewable energy to roughly 50,000 households each year. This initiative decreases the use of fossil fuels while also providing local jobs, a visitor center, and a social activities fund.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/carbonneutral.com.au\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gpbullhound.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/CarbonNeutral.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18134\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/carbonneutral.com.au\/product\/sb-energy-solar-power-projects-india\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/carbonneutral.com.au\/product\/sb-energy-solar-power-projects-india\/\" target=\"_blank\">SB Energy Solar Power project<\/a> we support in India focuses on creating solar energy sources in three Indian states: Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Kamataka, thereby contributing to the region&#8217;s demand-supply imbalance in electricity, which has been primarily relied on fossil fuels. New infrastructure and jobs have been developed as a result of the development of these solar plants, allowing people in the surrounding communities to improve their economic situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpbullhound.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Rwanda.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gpbullhound.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Rwanda-1024x728.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18130\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Improved Coockstove Project, Rwanda &#8211; Carbon Neutral<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The improved <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/carbonneutral.com.au\/product\/rwanda-improved-cook-stove-project\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/carbonneutral.com.au\/product\/rwanda-improved-cook-stove-project\/\" target=\"_blank\">cookstoves project<\/a> we support in Rwanda, primarily reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also contributes a number of co-benefits that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Traditional cookstoves utilize a lot of wood and coal, which contributes to deforestation and poor air quality in the region. Women and children, in general, are the ones who do the cooking and wood collecting, and hence are the ones who are most exposed to the smoke, which can cause respiratory illnesses.
