Providing a no-code translation infrastructure for websites.
Weglot’s proprietary software is an easy-to-use, no-code solution that turns any website multilingual, by automatically translating website content in an SEO-friendly manner. Founded in 2016, Weglot has helped more than 60,000 brands translate and display their websites into 100+ languages. Based in Paris, France, the company operates in 150+ countries.
Augustin Prot and Rémy Berda, Co-founders of Weglot, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome our new investor onboard and excited to embark on this journey together. Partech is an excellent partner to help us accelerate our expansion and scale the business. We are happy that GP Bullhound advised us on such a landmark transaction, guiding us and finding the ideal partner.”
Joy Sioufi, Partner, and Miguel Kindelán, Executive Director at GP Bullhound, commented: “It has been a pleasure to work with Augustin, Rémy and SIDE Capital as we advised them on such an important milestone of Weglot’s journey. This partnership with Partech, together with Weglot’s proven capabilities, is a powerful combination to consolidate its position as global category leader in the translation infrastructure space.”
The transaction represents yet another milestone for GP Bullhound and is a further testament to the firm’s expertise in the SaaS sector, following recently completed transactions for InterCloud (Series D growth financing by Aleph Capital), Foxintelligence (acquired by NielsenIQ), MariaDB (Series D growth financing), Egoditor (acquired by Bitly), and Logicbroker (investment by K1), among many others.
