Connecting people to devices with secure remote access.
RealVNC’s lead product, VNC Connect, allows users to connect securely to a remote device anywhere in the world, see its screen in real-time, and take control as though sitting in front of it. The product has been deployed across a myriad of use cases, from basic remote access and remote support, through to deploying the software onto connected devices such as medical ventilators, set-top boxes, heavy industrial machinery and more.
Livingbridge’s investment will help support RealVNC through the next phase of its growth, investing in all areas of the business to take full advantage of the significant market opportunities available to it.
Andy Harter, Co-founder, said: “The acquisition by Livingbridge represents the next stage in the evolution of RealVNC and is a strong endorsement of our product innovation, global reach and most of all, our talented team at RealVNC. The founder shareholders are delighted that the business they have nurtured will be in good hands, and that further significant opportunities for growth are now unlocked.”
Adam Greenwood-Byrne, CEO, added: “This deal marks the beginning of an exciting new phase of the RealVNC story. The team at Livingbridge share our vision and bring both financial firepower and strategic support to assist us in realising our growth ambitions. GP Bullhound was a great advisory partner to us, and their deep sector experience and relationships were instrumental in delivering a successful transaction.”
Alexis Scorer, Executive Director at GP Bullhound, commented: “The RealVNC team pioneered the development of the remote access market and are uniquely positioned across a range of fast-growing segments. We are delighted to have advised the team on their next phase of growth and strongly believe they have found the right partner to become a global leader in enterprise-grade remote access software.”
This represents GP Bullhound’s 22nd Software transaction in the last 12 months, including the acquisition of Linkfluence by Meltwater, of Orbus Software by Silvertree Equity, and of Cleanshelf by LeanIX, among many others.
