Marbella, 12 May 2015 – GP Bullhound hosted its annual Summit, an invitation-only event gathering 100 of the leading entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the European digital economy.
Following the steps of previous winners JUST EAT, BlaBlaCar, Rovio, Klarna and Net-a-Porter, Europe’s new leaders LeoVegas, Sigfox and Jobandtalent took home the 2015 GP Bullhound Summit Awards.
Once a year, GP Bullhound brings together a small, select group of the most inspiring CEOs, super-entrepreneurs and influencers from some of the most interesting and high performing companies in the digital economy, for 36 hours of networking, brainstorming, company presentations and inspiring talks on the latest trends in Tech.
This year, the invitation-only event took place in Marbella and saw talks from Mårten Mickos former CEO MySQL / Eucalyptus Systems, Adnaan Ahmad Global Technology Analyst at Berenberg, as well as discussions on the critical developments in the digital economy, key trends, Exits, IPOs, and Social Intelligence, and GP Bullhound’s latest findings on the European Unicorns were revealed in exclusivity to the audience.
During the first afternoon, ten innovative high growth companies were selected to present: Algomi, CLX Networks, Currency Cloud, InSkin Media, Jobandtalent, LeoVegas, Sigfox, Skimlinks, Unruly and Zopa. The audience, composed of CEOs, entrepreneurs, high profile investors, the London Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and the Summit Advisory Board, then voted to elect the winners of the Summit Awards who were announced at the Gala dinner on the next evening.
– The Grand Prize award of Summit Superstar 2015 went to Swedish mobile gaming operator LeoVegas, a category leader in the fast growing mobile casino gaming space, rapidly expanding its business across Europe and getting great media attention via its innovative marketing.
– The award of Most Innovative Company 2015 went to French Sigfox, a revolutionary and already global wireless connectivity provider for the Internet of Things, based on antenna and base station infrastructure that is completely independent of existing networks
– The award of Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 went to Juan Urdiales and Felipe Navio of Spanish recruitment platform Jobandtalent, disrupting the industry by offering a completely new take on how to explore professional opportunities and growing its user base by close to half a million users per month.
“There has been a fundamental shift in Europe’s technology ecosystem with Entrepreneurs creating companies worth over $1bn at three times the rate achieved previously. Disruption and innovation is happening across all traditional sectors with technology pioneers grabbing market share at a rapid rate in Finance, Health, Food Delivery, Transportation, Lodgings, Auctions, Cars… It is almost impossible to think of a sector that is not going through wholesale changes driven by technology.
The Summit was inspirational and fun, with some of the most innovative minds in Europe coming together to debate and predict the next chapter in the Technology sector.” said Manish Madhvani & Per Roman, Managing Partners at GP Bullhound.
The Summit and Awards take place in a different tech hotspot each year. The event is free, run as not-for-profit and financed by GP Bullhound and a small group of companies wishing to support entrepreneurship in Europe.

About Jobandtalent
jobandtalent is a service that compares available job opportunities with subscribed professionals and sends automated alerts to notify them. At the heart of jobandtalent is an innovative algorithm which behaves like a virtual recruitment consultant – identifying and recognizing linguistic patterns within the structure and phrasing of both job adverts and CVs. These patterns are then converted into data points that match candidates with suitable job opportunities, even if they do not match a candidate’s or recruiter’s specifications word for word. This algorithm allows jobandtalent to analyse hundreds of thousands of jobs from different recruitment boards and sites, suggesting suitable vacancies within a client’s field. Companies such as Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Ericsson, Booking, L’Oréal, or Deloitte and more than 20% of companies in the Fortune Global 500 use jobandtalent to source talent.
